Students in Ukraine will be required to work in their field after graduation.

The Ministry of Education and Science is preparing changes for budget students
At the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, graduates who studied at the state's expense will be obliged to work for a certain period in their specialty. This was stated by Deputy Minister Mykhailo Vynnytskyi. He emphasized that the 'guaranteed first job' system will involve graduates participating in a competition through the State Employment Service.
The state order must have corresponding obligations for students receiving free education, Vynnytskyi noted. Their participation in this program will be mandatory.
The main focus will be on medical professionals, teachers, and other specialists needed for the public sector. These changes are aimed at restoring infrastructure and developing human potential. The cost of education may increase to 50 thousand hryvnias, but the state plans to expand grant support programs.
New requirements for budget students
Mandatory service for budget graduates will be one of the main changes in the 2025 enrollment campaign. It is expected that this will help students make a more conscious choice of profession and fill personnel gaps in key areas.
