Ukraine captured two soldiers from North Korea: how Russian propaganda reacted.

Russian propaganda denies the fact of Ukrainian military captivity with North Korean soldiers. This is stated by the Center for Counteracting Disinformation (CCD).
«Propaganda resources spread messages claiming that the captives are Russians from the Republic of Tuva, or try to prove that they are South Koreans, not North Koreans. Sometimes they call the video of the interrogation of the captives a setup,» the message states.
At the same Time, a thesis is spreading in Russia that «the participation of North Korean troops in the war is legitimate, as it corresponds to the strategic partnership agreement,» states the CCD.
«Despite the obvious involvement of North Korean military forces on the side of the Russian Federation, the Kremlin officially does not recognize this. However, they claim this so that Russian citizens understand that the war is being waged precisely with North Korea. In this way, the Kremlin tries to sell to Russians the military alliance with North Korea as «Putin's great geopolitical success,» as well as calm the population, which fears mobilization,» emphasizes the Center for Counteracting Disinformation.
It should be noted that Ukrainian military forces captured two soldiers from North Korea who fought in Kursk against Ukraine. This was reported by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on January 11.
Captured North Korean soldiers want to stay in Ukraine
It was reported that one of the captured North Korean soldiers who ended up in captivity wishes to remain in Ukraine. The other wants to return to North Korea. This is evidenced by the interrogation video published by President Volodymyr Zelensky.
