The State Bureau of Investigation is conducting searches at the head of the CPC, Vitaliy Shabunin
The State Bureau of Investigation is conducting searches at the head of the Center for Countering Corruption, Vitaliy Shabunin. These actions are taking place at a military unit in Chuguev, Kharkiv region, and at his place of residence.
This was reported by the CPC press service on Facebook.
'According to our information, the searches are being conducted by the SBI at Vitaliy's place of service in Chuguev district, Kharkiv region. As of now, we know that the SBI has seized a phone from Vitaliy,' - the statement says.
Searches are also taking place at the residence of Shabunin's wife and children. This is happening without a court decision.
The CPC assumes that the searches are related to the criminal proceedings concerning Shabunin's former commander. They also believe that this is connected with the criticism of the President's Office and personally Andriy Yermak.
'We view these searches as yet another wave of attack on Shabunin and the CPC due to the criticism of the President's Office and personally Andriy Yermak,' - it is stated in the post.
Moreover, Shabunin was deliberately transferred away from Kyiv and Kharkiv to avoid the arrival of lawyers during the searches. The SBI wants to track all of Shabunin's contacts.
We remind that today the SBI also conducted searches at former Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov. Searches are also ongoing at the Odesa customs, where there are already detainees.
It has just been reported that the State Bureau of Investigation is conducting searches at the head of the Center for Countering Corruption, Vitaliy Shabunin, which may be related to the criminal proceedings against his former commander and the criticism of the President's Office.
