Auto liability insurance for warriors: how to now issue a policy.

Ukraine introduces new car insurance rules
Starting from January 1, 2025, significant changes in the compulsory car insurance system have come into force in Ukraine, affecting all vehicle owners, including participants in combat operations. According to legislative changes, the category of warriors is no longer excluded from insuring auto liability policies. However, a 50 percent discount is provided for participants in combat operations when issuing this policy.
At the beginning of the year, there were some problems with the new discount system for purchasing insurance policies. However, the situation has stabilized, and insurance companies are actively offering corresponding programs. Vehicle owners can use convenient online services for policy issuance that collect offers from various insurance companies and automatically select the best insurance options.
Obtaining a preferential discount requires compliance with certain conditions, particularly regarding the engine capacity of the vehicle and its usage restrictions.
It is important to note that the preferential discount is provided only for one vehicle owned by the policyholder.
