Danon made this statement at Israel's event at the UN headquarters, marking the anniversary of the Hamas attack on October 7th.

On her part, U.S. Ambassador to the UN Linda Thomas-Greenfield pointed to the destructive role in the Middle East situation of certain members of the Security Council who opposed resolutions condemning militant groups. Thomas-Greenfield also accused Iran of seeking to exploit the situation to promote a destructive agenda.
