Much less than expected: the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed the real amount of frozen Russian assets.

The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that the country has frozen Russian assets amounting to 97.2 million euros. This is significantly less than the 660 million euros previously reported.
The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed this information and emphasized that they had already informed the Dutch parliament about this issue.
According to a report from January 2024, the total amount of frozen Russian assets was supposed to be 660 million euros, but by July 2024 only 97.2 million euros had been blocked, and the rest was no longer subject to freezing.
The press service of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs also noted that a significant amount of frozen funds can no longer be blocked due to information confidentiality.
It was also known that a significant portion of this sum is owned by two companies. 230 million euros belong to Company No. 1, the name of which is not disclosed. This happened because the Russian owners, who are subject to sanctions, no longer have ties to this company.
Regarding Company No. 2, the freeze on funds was lifted due to exemptions for unfinished payments and changes in ownership that were under sanctions.
In addition to Company No. 1 and Company No. 2, there were several similar cases with smaller amounts.
