Girona announced the squad for the Champions League match: did Tsygankov make it?.


The Spanish Girona is preparing for the 5th round match of the Champions League against Sturm from Austria. Girona's head coach Michel Sanchez included 22 players in the Catalans' squad. This was reported by the club's press service.
Ukrainian Viktor Tsygankov, who recently recovered from an injury, is on the list. Arnau Martinez (due to suspension) and Yanhel Herrera (injury) could not participate instead of him.
- Goalkeepers: Gassaniga, Pau Lopez, Lucas Garcia.
- Defenders: Gutierrez, David Lopez, Krejci, Juanpe, Frances, Blind, Ivan Martin.
- Midfielders: Van de Beek, Tsygankov, Asprilla, Danjuma, Romeu, Hil, Solis, Selvi, Artero.
- Forwards: Stuani, Miovski, Abel Ruiz.
The match between Sturm and Girona will take place on November 27 at 19:45 Kyiv Time.
It is worth noting that 26-year-old Viktor Tsygankov has been playing for 'Girona' since January 2023 and is one of the team's leaders.
Another Ukrainian, 27-year-old Dovbyk played for 'Girona' from 2023 to 2024 and became the top scorer of the last season of the Spanish championship. This summer Artem moved to the Italian 'Roma', where he has already scored his first goal in the Europa League for his new team.
