The President of Ukraine calls on Putin to stop the war

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky announced that he has already proposed an unconditional ceasefire to Russia starting from March 11, but Russia is prolonging the war. He stated this during his weekly address on Sunday, March 23.

The President reminded that Ukrainian and American delegations are meeting in Saudi Arabia for the second Time, and this meeting is of a more technical nature. Representatives of the military, diplomats, and the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine are present.

“I just spoke with Rustem Umerov. He informed me about the progress of negotiations. Our team is working constructively. The conversation was useful. The diplomatic mission continues. But regardless of our conversations with partners, Putin needs to stop the strikes. He brought this war and he must end it,” emphasized Volodymyr Zelensky.

U.S. Special Representative for the Middle East Steve Wittkopf believes that Russian President Vladimir Putin has the desire to end the war.

In the capital of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, a meeting of the Ukrainian and American delegations began on the evening of March 23.

According to previous statements by Zelensky, first America will meet with Ukraine, and then with Russia, however, both meetings will be held simultaneously and will be devoted to the same issues.

It is worth noting that Putin supported the idea of U.S. President Donald Trump about mutual non-strikes by Russia and Ukraine on energy infrastructure for 30 days. However, an hour later, the Russians violated this agreement, attacking a critical facility in Sloviansk.

Preliminary information emerged that Steve Wittkopf refused to acknowledge that Russia violated the agreement on non-attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure following talks between Trump and Putin.
