FIFA has published an updated world ranking of national football teams after the Nations League matches in October. The Ukrainian national team dropped to the 25th position, reports "Suspilne Sport".
The latest ranking update took place after the initial Nations League matches in September. Ukraine lost in these matches: they were defeated by Albania (1:2) and the Czech Republic (2:3), but simultaneously rose in the ranking by one position.
In October, the Ukrainian team earned four points in the Nations League matches: they defeated Georgia (1:0) in a home game and drew with the Czech Republic (1:1).
Opta predictions for the Champions League-2024/2025
Analysts from the company Opta have determined the favorites for the upcoming 2024-2025 Champions League season, where 36 clubs will compete. According to the supercomputer predictions, "Manchester City" has the highest chances of winning (25.3%). Ukrainian "Shakhtar" is predicted to have no chances for the trophy, with their progression to the playoffs estimated at only 3.9%, which is the second lowest indicator after the Slovak "Slovan" (1.2%).
