Terrible injury of Malinovskyi: Ukrainian footballer sidelined for several months (photo).

In the second half, while making a sliding tackle, Malinovskyi badly twisted his ankle. This was reported by the football club's press service.
The footballer was immediately taken off the field on a stretcher, and a medical examination revealed a joint dislocation and a fracture of the fibula. Unfortunately, this means Malinovskyi needs surgery, which is scheduled for September 22.
This injury has been a serious blow both for the player himself and for his team. Genoa's head coach Alberto Gilardino openly admitted that after losing Malinovskyi, the team lost its fighting spirit and couldn't continue the game at the proper level.
We played a balanced first half, but after Malinovskyi's injury, we stopped playing. It's about the dynamics, aggression, and quality of play with the ball. This is entirely my fault, we have a lot of work to do, and I realize this, as does the whole team. We need to understand what we aim to achieve this season. As for Ruslan – he is an important player, and I hope his injury is less serious than it appears," said the coach.
The loss of Malinovskyi is a major blow for Genoa. The Ukrainian midfielder was an important player for the team, and his absence will undoubtedly affect the results.
For Malinovskyi himself, this injury means a long break in his career. Surgery and rehabilitation will take a lot of Time, and it's hard to say when he will be able to return to the field.
Recall, the Ukraine national team defeated the Afghanistan team and advanced to the futsal playoffs.
