Water Floods the Sahara Desert (photo).

For the first Time in decades, rains have flooded the Sahara Desert, one of the most arid places in the world. This was reported by Associated Press.
The government of Morocco reported that in two days, rains exceeded the annual average in several regions where less than 250 millimeters of precipitation falls per year.
«It has been 30-50 years since we had so much rain in such a short period,» – said Hussein Youabeb, an employee of the General Directorate of Meteorology of Morocco.
Such rains, which meteorologists call an extratropical storm, may change the weather conditions in the region in the coming months and years. As the air holds more moisture, it promotes evaporation and provokes more storms, Youabeb noted.
Recall that Hurricane «Milton,» approaching the USA, could become one of the strongest storms in the country in a century. It is expected to cause serious consequences in the state of Florida.
