The Ministry of Strategic Industries has announced the signing of a joint statement on strategic cooperation between the Norwegian company NAMMO and a leading Ukrainian enterprise.
'The partnership is based on successful collaboration regarding the transfer of technology for the production of 155 mm caliber artillery ammunition to Ukraine. This cooperation will help meet Ukraine's needs in ammunition production,' the ministry reported.
According to the head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries, Herman Smetanin, large-scale production of 155 mm caliber artillery ammunition has begun in Ukraine.
'This is the main caliber for the Ukrainian military and NATO member countries. We need to increase their production,' noted the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine.
Herman Smetanin expressed gratitude to partners for their support in the development of the Ukrainian defense industry and emphasized that Ukraine's defense capability is the foundation of security in Europe.
'NAMMO is one of the largest ammunition manufacturers in Europe. I express my gratitude to the management of the company for their willingness to cooperate with Ukrainian manufacturers. Special thanks to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of Norway, Andreas Flemm, for supporting cooperation at the state level,' emphasized the Minister.
