The Russian strikes on the city of Zaporizhzhia have a terrorist nature. This was stated by the spokesperson of the Ukrainian Volunteer Army (UVA) "South" Serhiy Bratchuk.
"We see that the enemy is trying to strike directly on the city. We talked about the problem that, unfortunately, arose - the use of KABs in the regional center. The enemy managed to improve this weapon of death. Today it flies 80 km. And, probably, the Russians are working to increase this distance to secure their planes," Bratchuk said.
Bratchuk claims that Russian strikes on peaceful cities aim to influence the moods of the population and to instill fear.
"It is no secret that in Russia, this is outlined in the relevant strategies, concepts of conducting certain wars at various locations. And this part, precisely the terrorist one, occupies a rather important place... To instill fear in the population so that the population itself would try to influence the government to cease fire," explained the spokesperson of UVA "South".
The Ukrainian Volunteer Army confirmed that the Russians are intensifying the use of aviation and increasing the number of assault operations on the front line in southern Ukraine.
"In the Dnipro direction, there may be up to 10 assault actions a day. The enemy is also concentrating assault groups and establishing certain strongholds," noted Bratchuk.
However, according to the spokesperson of UVA "South", the greatest danger to the city of Zaporizhzhia comes from Russia's terrorist strikes.
"While Russian troops are on Ukrainian territory, there is danger for any of our cities... It is not only being monitored; all measures are being taken so that in case of danger, the enemy's attacks can be repelled. There is no formation of an offensive fist from Russia," noted Bratchuk.
