In Ukraine, egg prices have changed sharply: what is the cost in supermarkets after Easter.


Chicken eggs have become cheaper after Easter. According to the data from the Minfin portal, prices have slightly decreased. After the Bright Week comes the Driving Sunday, when the demand for eggs usually increases. On this day, many Ukrainians visit the graves of their relatives and bring Easter eggs and other products for the memorial feast.
According to the monitoring of prices in major stores, the prices for chicken eggs have slightly decreased. For example, a pack of eggs 'Kvochka' (10 pcs.) now costs on average 70.00 UAH, which is 4.68 UAH cheaper compared to March. The prices for 'Yasensvit' eggs show different dynamics: a pack of 10 pieces rose from 70.78 to 73.53 UAH, a pack of 18 pieces increased from 121.19 to 123.93 UAH, and a large pack of 30 eggs has risen from 215.34 to 223.85 UAH.
Retail stores such as Auchan, Metro, Novus, and Megamarket have different prices for eggs. The best offer for 'Kvochka' eggs can be found at Auchan (70.00 UAH for a pack of 10 pieces), while Novus offers the lowest price for 'Yasensvit' eggs - 70.99 UAH for the same pack.
Food market analysts recommend consumers to buy eggs in advance before the Driving Sunday to avoid possible price increases.
