Basic food prices in Ukraine have sharply increased: how the prices of buckwheat, sunflower oil, eggs, and bread have changed.

Prices for basic food products in Ukraine rose at the end of November. According to the Minfin portal, these changes have been discussed by many families trying to plan their budgets in light of the difficult economic situation. The rising food prices particularly affect retirees who have low incomes.
Every price increase for food products is significant for millions of families who are trying to budget in today's conditions. Significant price changes negatively impact the purchasing power of Ukrainians, forcing many to give up some basic products. This is especially true for retirees with their minimal payments.
Below are examples of price changes for several basic products as of November 28. The price of buckwheat rose from 28.74 UAH/kg to 32.57 UAH/kg. Prices may vary in different supermarkets: in Auchan, buckwheat costs 25.90 UAH/kg, while in MegaMarket it is 40 UAH.
Prices for oil have also increased. Refined oil now costs 65.95 UAH for 850 ml, while Shchedry Dar costs 69.40 UAH for 850 ml.
The price of eggs has increased the most. The price of eggs from the Kvochka brand is 78.40 UAH per dozen, up from 45.29 UAH. Eggs from the Yasensvit brand have also risen to 78.03 UAH per dozen from the previous price of 45.26 UAH.
The cost of sliced wheat bread 'Tsar Khlib' increased from 34.22 UAH to 36.57 UAH for 600 grams.
Ukrainians are warned about the 'holiday' price increase of food products.
