Usyk addressed Trump regarding the release of the 'Azovstal' defenders from captivity.

World heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk has reached out to US presidential candidate Donald Trump, asking him to help free Ukrainians from Russian captivity.

Usyk approached Trump through popular American commentator Joe Rogan, inquiring if the US president could help resolve this issue. He expressed hope that Trump would use his influence on Russian leader Vladimir Putin and assist in freeing the Ukrainians from captivity.

Usyk, appearing at a press conference before the fight with British boxer Tyson Fury, chose the image of a main character from a video game, appearing in a black suit with a red tie and leather gloves.

The rematch between Usyk and Fury will take place on December 21 in Saudi Arabia. All the titles Usyk holds will be on the line, but this Time the IBF title, previously held by the Ukrainian, will not be involved.

Fury stated that his main goal in this fight is a knockout, and he plans to finish the fight early.

Recall that 95 Ukrainian POWs recently returned home, among whom are fighters from the 'Azov' battalion. They had been held captive by Russian forces for over two years.

Additionally, investigator Mariyana Chechelyuk, who was in captivity for over two years, was returned home in May.
