Ukrainians in Poland actively open businesses: in which areas do they work.

Ukrainian business in Poland is growing: 77% of active enterprises were registered in the first half of 2024
In the first six months of 2024, Ukrainians opened 77% of new companies in Poland, despite the ongoing war, reports Spidersweb.
According to the estimates of the Polish Economic Institute, Ukrainian businesses in Poland mainly operate in construction, the information sector, and the service sector.
Between 2022 and mid-2024, approximately 59.8 thousand active individual entrepreneurs from Ukraine were registered in Poland, 11% of which were established in the first half of 2024.
The reasons for such growth of Ukrainian business in Poland are varied: some Ukrainians aim to increase their income, others prefer to work for themselves, and some simply relocate their already existing businesses from Ukraine.
The simplified employment procedure introduced in 2022 for Ukrainian citizens did not stop the increase in the number of illegally employed Ukrainians in Poland.
Ukraine also plans to introduce a new business classification.
