Ukrainians announced an increase in the minimum wage: what salary to expect.

The Ministry of Finance in Ukraine is considering the possibility of raising the minimum wage. Currently, it amounts to 8000 hryvnias, but the government plans to increase it as early as 2026. This information was confirmed by the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Finance has already presented its plans regarding this issue at a meeting with representatives of social dialogue. An increase in the minimum wage to 8688 hryvnias is planned, which will take into account expected inflation. An increase in the basic tariff rate from 3195 to 3470 hryvnias is also being considered.
These changes are based on the projected index of consumer price growth, which is 108.6% for the year 2026. The Ministry of Economy has also presented macroeconomic forecasts for the country's development for the period of 2026-2028.
The government notes that the amounts of social payments may increase if the economic situation in the country improves. A new pension calculation system in Ukraine was also announced.
Thus, the government of Ukraine plans to raise the minimum wage and the basic tariff rate as early as 2026, based on forecasts of inflation and the country's economic development.
