Ukraine and Georgia played to a draw in the second match of the Nations League.


The Ukrainian national team played to a draw with the team of Georgia in the match of the 5th round of the group stage of the Nations League 2024/25 season. The match at the 'Batumi Arena' stadium in the Georgian city of Batumi ended with a score of 1:1.
The 'Blue and Yellows' opened the scoring already in the 7th minute of the match – the home team's defender Solomon Kvirkvelia sliced the ball into his own goal after Mykhailo Mudryk's cross from the right flank.
Before this, the Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin deflected a dangerous long-range shot from Kvaratskhelia just over the crossbar.
In the 36th minute, Serhiy Rebrov's charges could have doubled their lead. Mudryk made an impressive solo run but failed to outplay the Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili.
In the second half, Willy Sagnol's charges actively pushed forward, trying to come back. In the 62nd minute, Kvaratskhelia struck the crossbar with a powerful long-range shot.
The Ukrainians immediately responded with a dangerous moment, but Artem Dovbyk shot far over the goal from the edge of the penalty area after a pass from Mudryk on the left flank.
In the 76th minute, Georgia equalized. Georges Mikautadze, who came on as a substitute in the second half, converted the ball into the empty net after Trubin saved a header from Giorgi Kochorashvili.
It should be noted that this was the fifth match of the Ukrainian National Team in Group B1 of the Nations League 2024/2025 – our team will play a match against Georgia.After the match with Georgia, the Ukrainians will play against Albania in Tirana at the Air Albania stadium on November 19.
