Ukrainian Student National Team in Bahrain Won 69 Medals at the World Gymnasiade.

The World Summer Gymnasiade (ISF Gymnasiade - Bahrain 2024) in Bahrain has concluded, as reported by the Committee for Physical Education and Sports of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.

In the match for third place, the handball team from Lviv Specialized Sports College defeated the team of Iran with a score of 24:17. Thus, the Ukrainians secured bronze medals. In addition, Anzhelika Grabchak became the best goalkeeper of the tournament.

Volleyball players from Chornomorsk Lyceum named after Taras Shevchenko - Yehor Skrypnychenko and Saveliy Ushakov - became vice-champions in beach volleyball.

Mariya Koryagina from Mykolaiv Lyceum No. 5 took second place in the individual badminton competitions, and together with Vladyslav Kunin from Mykolaiv Sports Lyceum, they took third place in pairs.

In the group exercises of rhythmic gymnastics, the Ukrainian team became champions with clubs and silver medalists in exercises with hoops. The team consisted of Kateryna Shershen, Anna Shcherbukha, Oleksandra Nicole Samoukina, Svitlana Apatkina (clubs), Khrystyna Shkolnikova, and Solomiya Hrubyuk (hoops).

Also, Taissiya Redka from the "Perspective" Lyceum became a bronze medalist in the individual competitions for club exercises.

In vaulting, the Gymnasiade champion was Valentyn Havrylchenko, a representative of the Olympic Specialized College named after Ivan Piddubny.

Recall that the Ukrainian futsal team defeated the Czech Republic in the qualifying round for the 2025 World Cup. However, the Ukrainians failed to qualify for this tournament. 

Earlier, the Ukrainian futsal team defeated Venezuela in the quarterfinal of the 2024 World Futsal Championship with a score of 9:4. This was the first Time since 1996 that Ukrainians participated in the quarterfinals of this tournament.
