The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine has completed preparations for the second Peace Summit
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine confirmed the completion of preparations for the second Peace Summit. This was announced during a briefing where MFA representative Georgiy Tikhy informed journalists about the current status of preparations for the upcoming summit.
The MFA representative noted that Ukraine has a strong negotiating position and is ready to hold the summit. The country has already successfully conducted thematic conferences and holds a unified position with other participants of the event.
Nevertheless, Tikhy emphasized that the date of the summit has not yet been announced, as the main task is to achieve concrete results rather than holding the event for formality.
Speaking about global political processes, the MFA spokesperson noted the influence of changes in the USA and Europe on the international agenda.
At the same Time, he stressed that the Peace Formula presented by President Volodymyr Zelensky to the G7 leaders will be a top priority for achieving a just end to the war.
The first Peace Summit, which took place in Switzerland, concluded with many countries and organizations joining the joint communiqué, which includes a range of measures for establishing peace, including protecting Ukraine, holding aggressors accountable, and determining conditions for ending the war.
Recently, the newspaper El Pais published an article mentioning the guarantees that the West must provide to Ukraine at the initiative of President Zelensky. The MFA also previously reported discussions on mobilization issues with Western partners.
