Anti-government forces are approaching the city of Hama in Syria
On December 3, anti-government armed formations approached the city of Hama. The capture of this city will complicate the situation for President Bashar al-Assad, who is supported by Russia and Iran.
According to Reuters, the city of Hama has been under the control of the Syrian government since 2011, when the civil war in the country began. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that 'Tehran will consider sending troops to Syria if Damascus requests it,' reports Ukrainian truth.
Fighting also continues in the northeast of the country between government forces and a coalition of Kurdish military groups supported by the US. This creates a new front along a strategic supply route, further complicating the government's position.
In the Syrian conflict, government forces of President Bashar al-Assad, supported by Russia and Iran, Syrian Kurdish formations supported by the US, and various rebel groups supported by Turkey are involved.
The front line in the Syrian conflict has remained unchanged since 2020, when government forces, with the support of Russian aviation and Iranian militias, regained control over most of Syria's territories.
