NSDC assessed the likelihood of North Korea preparing 100 thousand troops for war against Ukraine.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Andriy Kovalenko, stated that reports claiming North Korea is preparing 100 thousand troops to participate in military actions on the territory of Ukraine are false.
According to Kovalenko, less than 1% of the officer personnel of North Korea's army is proficient in the Russian language. "This is important for understanding the potential for their involvement in the actions of the Russian army in the future," noted Kovalenko.
However, the head of the Center opens the possibility of several thousand North Korean troops being present in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. "Russia may use military personnel from North Korea for actions in the Kursk region, but it is not excluded that after Russian training grounds, several thousand troops from North Korea may find themselves in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine along with Buryats," believes Kovalenko.
