In Lviv, a BMW driver was detained after an accident with seven injured.


Serious accident in Lviv
On Sunday, July 20, around noon, an accident occurred on the 'Western bypass of the city of Lviv' near the village of Rudno in the Lviv region. The driver, speeding, entered the oncoming lane and collided with another vehicle.
This became known from a report by the police of the Lviv region on Facebook.

According to preliminary data from law enforcement, a 21-year-old resident of Lviv driving a BMW entered the oncoming lane and crashed into a Renault Trafic minibus driven by a 41-year-old resident of Lviv.
Both drivers and five passengers of the minibus were injured in the collision. The injured were taken to medical facilities for assistance. Among the wounded are residents of the Stryi and Lviv regions aged 17 to 77.
Law enforcement opened a criminal proceeding in connection with the accident and injuries to several individuals. The BMW driver has already been detained, and all the circumstances of the incident are being clarified.
It is noteworthy that the previous evening in Kyiv, a horrible incident also occurred: a prosecutor, being in a state of alcoholic intoxication, ran over a woman on a pedestrian path, resulting in her death.
Both cases highlight the threat of drunk driving, which can lead to tragic consequences.
