The EU rejected the deployment of troops in the buffer zone
The European Commission rejected the idea of deploying European troops in the buffer zone between Ukrainian and Russian forces. Instead, Ukraine will be able to conduct training in the territory of EU member states, the European Commission reported.
Peter Stano, spokesperson for the EU's foreign policy service, stated that no decision has been made yet regarding training in Ukraine. However, joint training with EU member states is considered as one of the options. The European Union already conducts training missions for Ukrainian military personnel, but this takes place on the territory of other countries.
