A man died during a military medical commission at the Chernivtsi recruitment office. The police have started an investigation..


A man died at the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support in Chernivtsi region, and the police are investigating the circumstances of this incident. This was reported by the police of Chernivtsi region.
On February 7, a 32-year-old local resident who was hiding from mobilization was detained in Chernivtsi. He was taken to the Territorial Center to clarify his data.
During the military medical commission, the man felt unwell and lost consciousness. He received first aid, but it was not possible to save him.
After that, the Territorial Center in Chernivtsi commented on the incident, stating that the man, who was wanted for evading mobilization, was brought to the regional mobilization center along with police representatives.
During communication with the military personnel, the man did not complain about his health and was sent to the military commission to determine his fitness for service. However, during this commission, he suddenly felt unwell. He was given first aid and an ambulance was called. But the doctors confirmed his death.
An investigative team arrived at the scene. The man's body was sent for forensic examination to determine the cause of death. The police initiated a pre-trial investigation under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the remark 'natural death.'
This is not the first case where similar incidents occur after visiting the Territorial Center. Earlier, after visiting the Territorial Center in Zhytomyr region, a man died, and a service investigation was started then.
Also, in September 2024, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for Human Rights appealed to the prosecutor's office regarding a report of a mobilized man being beaten to death in Transcarpathia.
And at the beginning of 2025, a similar situation occurred at the Sumy city Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support, when a serviceman beat a local resident who later died in the hospital. This incident was commented on by the police of Sumy region and the Sumy regional Territorial Center.
