Standing in defense of the state since the first days of the war. Let us remember Volodymyr Vorobets.


Every day at 9 am, Ukrainians honor the memory of all those whose lives were taken by the Russo-Ukrainian war. Today we remember Volodymyr Vorobets.
On December 3, 2024, Volodymyr Vorobets, a resident of Lviv, fell while carrying out combat missions in the southern and eastern directions as part of the military unit A4979 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine defending Ukraine from Russian aggressors. This was reported by the Lviv City Council.
Volodymyr Vorobets was born on September 11, 1986, in Lviv. He studied at Lyceum No. 18 of the Lviv City Council. After his studies, he served in the military in Lviv.
He worked for over ten years at the limited liability company 'Fakro Lviv'. In his free Time, he was passionate about football. According to his relatives, he was an extraordinarily kind, friendly, and cheerful person.
From 2015 to 2017, he carried out combat missions in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation within the ranks of the 80th separate airborne assault Galician brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In defense of the state
From the first months of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, he stood in defense of the state from the aggressors. He carried out combat tasks in the southern and eastern directions as part of the military unit A4979 of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
For personal heroism, he was awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 'Steel Cross'.
The life of the defender was cut short on December 3, 2024. On December 11, a farewell ceremony for the fallen warrior took place at the Garrison Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Lviv. After the city-wide farewell ceremony in Rynok Square, the hero found eternal peace in Lychakiv Cemetery.
Volodymyr Vorobets is survived by his mother, son, daughter, and sister with family.
