What to do when there is no light, internet, or mobile connection: a guide for Vinnytsia residents.


Residents of Vinnytsia will be able to receive up-to-date information about the situation in the city even during power outages and internet disruptions. This is reported by the Department of Civil Protection of the Vinnytsia City Council.
The director of the civil protection department of the city council, Oleh Parfilov, recommends that residents of the Vinnytsia community purchase battery-powered FM receivers to always stay informed about news and receive information on emergencies, chemical or radiation hazards, and evacuations. Information can be received on the frequency 101.8 MHz on the radio "Misto nad Bugom". In addition, organized notifications are planned on loudspeaker devices and electric megaphones in places of mass gatherings.
Important rules for Vinnytsia residents:
- Ensure a supply of flashlights, batteries, power banks, and charging stations for powering electrical appliances during power outages.
- Stock up on drinking water, products that do not require cooking or can be cooked on a gas stove, warm clothing, blankets, and thermoses for hot water.
- Prepare a list of contacts to reach out to in case of emergencies, and write down the phone numbers of emergency services and contact persons.
- Keep an eye on official representatives' forecasts of power outages and prepare for blackouts.
Herman Galushchenko, head of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, reported that Ukraine's power system is ready for the winter season. Repairs at power plants were completed on Time.
