How many soldiers returned to service after SZC: data from law enforcement.


Over 7 thousand Ukrainian soldiers, who independently left their units for the first Time, have returned to the army. This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation. It is noted that 4 thousand 396 individuals have already been officially reinstated in military service, while the process of reinstatement and closing criminal proceedings is ongoing for the rest.
The law on returning to service for those who independently left the army or deserted came into effect at the end of November 2024. According to this law, military personnel can return to the army without any consequences until March 1, 2025. The commander of the military unit is obliged to inform the investigative bodies and law enforcement about the soldier's arrival and the continuation of their service. After that, the procedure for closing the case regarding the fighter begins.
It is worth noting that in 2024, the number of cases of military personnel independently leaving their units increased, but from September to October, this number decreased.
