Scandal in Ivano-Frankivsk: a cafe visitor hit a woman over a request to speak Ukrainian.

In the town of Snyatyn, Ivano-Frankivsk region, an event occurred that caused a wide resonance in society. During lunch at one of the local eating establishments, a woman who expressed disagreement with Russian music became a victim of a physical attack. This was reported by 'Glavkom' referencing the victim Lidiya Fesenko.

A quarrel took place, insults were thrown towards me and my friends, eventually everything quieted down, about 30 minutes passed (during which they actively discussed us), the ladies began to gather and leave the establishment, and one heroine decided to grab me by the hair and pull me.

The woman noted that the conflict began after she asked people at another table to stop playing Russian songs. A verbal altercation occurred, which seemed to have ended. But after half an hour, one of the participants in the conflict decided to grab the woman by the hair and pull her.

According to Lidiya Fesenko, this is the first Time she has been physically harmed for defending the Ukrainian language. Previously, she faced aggression when her car was damaged under similar circumstances. The incident sparked public outrage.

The establishment where the incident occurred provided video recordings from surveillance cameras, and representatives of the establishment testified to the police to aid in the investigation.

According to Fesenko, the attacker, who recently returned from England, may be held accountable under Article 173 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine.

The victim also emphasized that the attacker expressed insults not only towards her but also towards Russian-speaking soldiers.

Let us recall, Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine: a person is considered innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to punishment until their guilt is proven in legal order and established by a court verdict.
