After two matches of the Ukrainian national team in the Nations League 2024/2025 against Albania (1:2) and the Czech Republic (2:3), there was a change in the historical register of the national team's head coaches.
The current coach of the blue-yellow team Serhiy Rebrov caught up with the legendary Valeriy Lobanovskyi in terms of the number of matches in charge of the team.
Now both the teacher and the student have 18 matches each (7th place in the register).
Interestingly, Lobanovskyi achieved six victories in these matches, played seven draws, and suffered five defeats. The difference between goals scored and conceded is 20-20.

Let us remind you that after these two matches, changes occurred in the upper part of the historical ranking of national team defenders. The leader of the register, Andriy Yarmolenko, played 124 matches in the blue-yellow jersey, setting a new record.
The game against the Czech Republic was Taras Stepanenko's 86th for the national team, and he is now just one match behind Yevhen Konoplyanka (87 matches), who ranks seventh in the ranking.
