Intelligence revealed the conditions under which Ukrainians unlawfully mobilized by Russia are held.

The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reports that the Russians are unlawfully drafting Ukrainians from occupied territories into the army. These Ukrainians end up in military units on the territory of Crimea and are subjected to harsh treatment and forced to observe the conduct of prayers. In addition, they complain about poor food and the creation of unbearable living conditions.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, in the occupied territories of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, about 300 men were forcibly drafted during the period from October 31 to December 31, 2024.
Intelligence urges Ukrainians in occupied territories to contact the 'Want to Live' project via phone numbers and messengers to report these facts.
Russia also plans to draft more than 126,000 people from the so-called 'special contingent' as part of the war against Ukraine. Ukraine, in turn, plans to draft 160,000 people, although experts and officials doubt that this plan will be fully implemented.
Mobilization in Ukraine will continue as hostilities do not cease. Furthermore, the Ukrainian authorities are developing a reform aimed at attracting young men aged 18 to 25 into the army.
