Thailand Becomes a BRICS Partner
Russia offered Thailand to become a partner country within BRICS, announced Foreign Minister Jiraiya Hunsub. According to him, Thailand received an official invitation from Russia on October 31, and a positive decision on this invitation was made on December 24.
The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that membership in BRICS would contribute to the development of trade, investment, food and energy security of the country, as well as enhance its role in international cooperation and multilateralism.
BRICS is a group of 10 countries, including Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Iran, Egypt, and Ethiopia. This platform is considered a tool to weaken the influence of the USA and the EU and to strengthen the global multipolar order.
