Russian strike on Sumy. Mayor of Konotop demands resignation of the head of OVA.


The mayor of Konotop, Artem Semenikhin, reported that the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Volodymyr Artyukh, agreed to hold an event where the military of the 117th brigade were awarded. However, at that Time, Russian occupiers carried out an attack on the administrative center of the city. This was reported by Semenikhin himself in his post on Facebook, citing 'Hlavkom'.
'He organized the awarding of the military of the 117th brigade in Sumy today. I know that he was warned that this should not be done,' said Semenikhin.
According to him, the military was not harmed as they were in safe buildings.
Earlier, the mayor of Konotop reported about the attack on Sumy.
By the evening of April 13, it became known about the death of 34 people from the Russian shelling of Sumy, including two children. Another 117 people were injured.
Among the dead is Olena Kohut, a lecturer at the Sumy Professional College of Arts and Culture named after Bortnyansky, a soloist-instrumentalist, concertmaster of the Sumy Regional Philharmonic, and an artist of the Sumy National Academic Theater of Drama and Musical Comedy named after Shevchenko.
Rescuers who are clearing the rubble from the missile attack in Sumy showed a photo of the blue-yellow flag that survived after the destruction of the building.
