Russians sentenced employee of Zaporizhzhia NPP Serhiy Potin to 19 years in prison.

The Russian occupying court has decided to sentence a resident of Enerhodar and employee of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant Serhiy Potin to 19 years of imprisonment. This was reported by the mayor of Enerhodar, Dmytro Orlov. According to him, the Ukrainian was found guilty based on fabricated charges of terrorism and was given a long-term imprisonment sentence.
Orlov emphasized that this sentence indicates the repression of Russia against peaceful citizens of Ukraine. He called on the international community and human rights defenders to make every effort to free Potin and other civilian captives.
It is noted that Serhiy Potin is an engineer at the Zaporizhzhia NPP, who has been held captive by Russian occupiers for almost two years. He was illegally charged with terrorism, but in fact, this is revenge for his loyalty to Ukraine. Therefore, the life and health of this man are in danger.
Repression against NPP employees
Russian invaders have repeatedly carried out repression against employees of the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. They kidnapped engineer Serhiy Potin and sentenced his colleague, employee Nataliia Shulha, to long-term imprisonment.
Moreover, Russian occupiers forcibly transported the children of some employees of the plant to Russia in order to force the nuclear workers to stay and work there. This was reported by the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, who urged people to make every effort to release the captives and protect the rights of Ukrainian citizens.
