Russians Recruit Criminals in Europe to Sow Chaos and Harm – The Telegraph.

The director-general of MI5, Ken McCallum, stated that Russian military intelligence is attempting to create chaos on the streets of the UK and Europe, according to an article in The Telegraph. He also noted that these actions aim to weaken Western support for Ukraine. Recently, Russia and Iran have increasingly used criminal groups as the expulsion of diplomats has significantly limited Russian special services' capabilities.
McCallum also noted the active recruitment of criminals by Russian intelligence. According to analysts at The Telegraph, the GRU is creating chaos by committing arson and sabotage on British and European streets. These dangerous actions are being conducted more and more recklessly.
In addition, McCallum noted a significant increase in the number of young people involved in terrorism. He mentioned that far-right terrorism is increasingly targeting the youth.
According to preliminary reports, the Russian state is introducing a new military training module for children aged 15 to 18 years.
Since the start of the war with Ukraine, the Russian army has likely lost over 648,000 military personnel, according to British intelligence.
