Russians Advance in Kursk? ISW Analyzes the Situation in the Region.

Analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) claim that Russian forces intend to hinder the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region before the start of an operation to expel the Defense Forces. This information is reported by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
"Russian troops began counterattacks along the western edge of the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region and reportedly captured several settlements to the northeast and south of Korenevo on September 10 and 11. The size, scale, and prospects of Russian counterattacks in the Kursk region on September 11 remain unclear, and the situation remains unstable," the material notes.
However, analysts warn that it is too early to draw conclusions about new Russian counterattacks. Several Russian sources claimed that Russian troops fully captured Snagost, but ISW has seen no confirmation of these claims.
It is known that Ukrainian forces launched new attacks against the Russian counteroffensive to the west of Snagost and across the Ukrainian frontline in the Kursk region.
"Russian forces may temporarily hinder the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region before the start of a more organized and well-supplied operation to expel Ukrainian forces from Russian territory," the experts note.
Analysts note that Russian troops are conducting counterattacks along the western edge of the Ukrainian offensive in the Kursk region, in an area mainly consisting of fields and small settlements.
However, ISW emphasizes that it is still too early to assess the impact of two days of Russian counterattacks on the month-long Ukrainian incursion into the Kursk region, especially in the context of ongoing Ukrainian cross-border attacks, and ISW will continue to assess the impact of Russian counterattacks in the coming days.
We remind you that the situation on the left flank of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region has deteriorated. This is reported by analysts from the DeepState resource. It is noted that Russian forces have begun active assault actions in the Kursk region, transferring armored vehicles across rivers - first across the Seym, and then across smaller rivers.
John Gille: Supporting Ukraine is a priority for the United Kingdom
UK Defense Minister John Gille stated that the special operation of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region "clearly put Putin in a difficult position." He also emphasized that unwavering support for Ukraine is a priority for the United Kingdom.
