The eOsеля Program: Who Has Access to Affordable Housing Loans.


Ukrainian families received housing loans worth over UAH 2.3 billion
The affordable mortgage program called Oselya has gained popularity among citizens of Ukraine. Already, 1,285 families have taken advantage of this program and received loans for the purchase of housing totaling more than UAH 2.3 billion. Overall, during the program's existence, 16,125 Ukrainian families have become homeowners, receiving loans totaling over UAH 26.4 billion.
Military personnel, law enforcement officers, medical workers, educators, scientists, and their families have a privileged right to join the program. They are offered a preferential interest rate of 3%. Combat participants, veterans, and citizens without housing can obtain a mortgage at a rate of 7%.
During the past week, 109 loans were issued for a total of UAH 202 million. Of these, 42 loans at 3% were received by military personnel and law enforcement officials, 7 by medical workers, 5 by educators, and 1 by a scientist. Loans at 7% were received by 43 citizens without housing, 9 veterans, and 2 combat participants.
The largest number of loans was issued in Kyiv (34) and Kyiv region (30). Ivano-Frankivsk region and Lviv region also have decent figures - 9 and 7 loans respectively. Of all the loans received for the purchase of housing, 74 were issued for properties in the first sale, of which 32 properties are under construction, and 35 loans were issued for housing in the secondary market.
