Famous French composer who wrote for Piaf and Dalida has died.


In France, composer Charles Dumont, creator of the famous song Non, je ne regrette rien, performed by Édith Piaf, has passed away. This was reported by Barron`s.
Charles Dumont died at the age of 95 at home after a long illness.
French Minister of Culture Rachida Dati called Charles Dumont a prominent figure in French chanson.
The composition Non, je ne regrette rien became a classic, and the collaboration with Édith Piaf, which began in 1960, brought more than 30 joint songs.
In addition to working with Piaf, Charles Dumont also collaborated with such famous artists as Barbra Streisand and Dalida.
On November 14, Ukrainian actor of theater, film, and dubbing, television presenter, and vocalist Volodymyr Necheporenko celebrated his birthday, turning 75 years old.
On November 2, Ukrainian pop singer, People's Artist of Ukraine, and television presenter Oksana Pekun celebrated her birthday, turning 55 years old.
