Boris Groysman, father of Volodymyr Groysman, has died
Boris Groysman, a well-known local resident and father of the former mayor of Vinnytsia and former prime minister Volodymyr Groysman, has died in Vinnytsia. Volodymyr Groysman announced this on his Facebook.
My father, my friend. Thank you for everything. I love you. Rest in peace. Eternal memory, my dear, – wrote the former prime minister.
Life Path of Boris Groysman
Boris Isakovich Groysman was born on August 22, 1946, in Vinnytsia. After finishing school, he began working as a turner at the Vinnytsia Aggregate Plant in September 1962.
After serving in the Soviet Army, Groysman obtained an education at VTEP in the specialty of 'Technology of Electron Vacuum Production'. Throughout his life, he worked in various positions at local enterprises.
In 1990, Boris Groysman became the head of the 'Scholar' cooperative, and in 1994 he founded his private enterprise 'Youth', where he served as general director until his last days.
In addition, he was a member of the Vinnytsia City Council at different times. He held the position from 2002 to 2006 (electoral district No. 30) and from 2010 to 2015 (electoral district No. 13). In October 2015, Groysman was elected a member of the Vinnytsia City Council of the seventh convocation.
