Ukraine will not receive the return or transfer of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant under U.S. control, stated the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation regarding the nuclear power plant located on its territory. This was reported by Russian media, which are supporters of propaganda.

«No one but Russia will control the Zaporizhzhia NPP; its property belongs to Russia,» noted the self-appointed «director of the plant» Yuriy Chernychuk.

It was previously reported that the administration of U.S. President Donald Trump seeks to revise the terms of the agreement with the Ukrainian government regarding the American side's access to mineral resources. Trump proposes to include the Zaporizhzhia NPP in this agreement. According to the FT newspaper, the U.S. is expanding its economic demands on Ukraine in the context of aspirations to conclude a peace agreement with Russia.

It is worth noting that the agreement between Ukraine and the U.S. does not provide for the transfer of rights to use subsoil or any property rights. This was stated by Ukrainian Minister of Justice Olha Stefanishyna. The agreement pertains to the distribution of revenue to the state budget, part of which forms the Fund. The signing of this agreement has no legal consequences.

It was previously reported that U.S. President Donald Trump wanted to link the agreement with Ukraine on mineral extraction to Ukraine's obligation to cease fire as soon as possible.

Bloomberg reports that Trump is ready to finalize the agreement on natural resources provided that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky agrees to ceasefire and negotiations with Russia.

On March 14, the Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine, Olha Stefanishyna, stated that negotiations regarding the minerals agreement between Ukraine and the U.S. have concluded and it remains to sign the document.
