Oil Refinery in Samara Region Under Drone Attack.


The oil refinery in Novokuybyshevsk was attacked by drones on the night of March 10. This refinery is located in the Samara region. Previously, local authorities warned about possible drone attacks in the area. This was reported by the news portal 'Glavkom' citing Russian media.
Witnesses reported hearing several loud explosions. A series of explosions occurred over the city of Novokuybyshevsk. Russians heard the sound of a drone flying over the region.
Residents later felt loud explosions near the oil refinery. They then saw bright flashes in the sky. Local authorities claim that the drone was shot down while approaching the facility.
According to preliminary data, there are no destructions or injuries reported.
Novokuybyshevsk Oil Refinery in Samara Region
This refinery is considered the most powerful among the oil refining enterprises in the Samara group. The company's headquarters is located in Novokuybyshevsk.
According to open sources, the capacity of the Novokuybyshevsk oil refinery is 8.8 million tons of oil per year.
This refinery produces fuel for all types of transport, lubricating components, bitumens, coke, and petrochemical products.
On the night of March 9, powerful explosions were also heard in various cities across Russia. Drones attacked the 'Lukoil-Nizhny Novgorodnefteorgsintez' refinery, the Ryazan oil refinery, and the Novolipetsk Metallurgical Plant.
A fire also occurred at a distillery in Buturlinovka, Voronezh region.
Witnesses saw bright flashes in the sky near the facilities and heard loud explosions. Local authorities reported the operation of air defense. A 'Carpet' plan was implemented at several airports in Russia.
