In Donetsk Oblast, a Bible was discovered in a house wall: it is over 100 years old.


Ukrainian military found an ancient Bible from 1908 in Donetsk Oblast
Near Siversk, in Donetsk Oblast, Ukrainian soldiers discovered a Bible from the year 1908. They found the book in the ruins of a house that was destroyed by occupiers. This was reported by the Strategic Communications Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the report, some fighters of the Fourth Linear Battalion of the Presidential Brigade discovered this ancient book back in 2023.
«Interestingly, the book was hidden in a broken wall. The soldiers who found it do not even know if the previous owners of the house were aware of this Bible», the report states.
The book was handed over to the Chaplain Service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. If the owners of the book cannot be found, it will be transferred to a museum.
