February prices are a thing of the past: how much does a dozen eggs cost in Ukrainian supermarkets.


Egg prices in Ukrainian stores have increased
According to the Ministry of Finance, prices for chicken eggs in Ukrainian stores have significantly risen. To assist buyers, we will examine prices in four major retail chains - Auchan, Metro, Novus, and Megamarket.
The average cost of eggs
- The lowest prices for eggs (C1, 10 pieces) are offered by Auchan - UAH 71.10 for 'Kvochka' and UAH 64.20 for 'Yasensvit'. The 'Yasensvit' package (C1, 18 pieces) costs UAH 119.90.
- Metro also has affordable prices - UAH 71.10 for 'Kvochka' (C1, 10 pieces) and UAH 64.20 for 'Yasensvit' (C1, 10 pieces). The 'Yasensvit' package (C1, 18 pieces) costs UAH 119.90, while the largest package (C1, 30 pieces) is UAH 199.90.
Metro's offer
Metro offers the best price for a large package of 'Yasensvit' (C1, 30 pieces) at UAH 199.90. Auchan and Metro are trying to maintain affordable prices for their customers.
Prices at Novus and Megamarket
At Novus, prices are slightly higher - UAH 123.00 for the 'Yasensvit' package (C1, 18 pieces).
At Megamarket, the prices are the highest - UAH 72.30 for 'Yasensvit' (C1, 10 pieces) and UAH 213.30 for the large package (C1, 30 pieces).
Price increase compared to February 2025
Compared to February 2025, egg prices have significantly increased. Previously, 'Kvochka' (C1, 10 pieces) cost UAH 60.97, and 'Yasensvit' (C1, 10 pieces) was UAH 66.62. The 'Yasensvit' package (C1, 18 pieces) could be purchased for UAH 120.27, while the largest package (C1, 30 pieces) was UAH 200.79.
Recommendations for buyers
If you want to save money, choose Auchan or Metro. Avoid Megamarket with its high prices, and Novus can be considered as an average option. Given the constant price increases, it is advisable to check prices before purchasing and choose the most advantageous offers.
