Legendary actor on the sex scandal at the Karpenko-Kary University: This story has affected me too.

People's Artist of Ukraine, laureate of the Taras Shevchenko National Prize and actor of theater and cinema Oleksiy Bohdanovych shared his thoughts for the first Time on the sex scandal at the educational institution concerning the head of the Young Theater Andrii Bilois. In an exclusive interview for 'Glavkom', the actor mentioned that this situation has also touched him.

The actor asked his students how they feel about the scandal. They expressed their unanimous opinion - punishment. However, they did not understand what the presumption of innocence means. The actor noted that the presence of hype leads to aggression and condemnation of all without taking into account the presumption of innocence.

Oleksiy Bohdanovych explained that in the process of teaching, he can take students by the hand or hug them, but this has nothing to do with harassment. He asked the students if they see a sexual undertone in such actions, and received a negative response. The actor emphasized that this is part of the creative process.

The actor mentioned the Young Theater and Andrii Bilois. He testified that he knew Bilois as a talented and intelligent person since his youth.

The actor recounted that his student heard a research and began to think that he doesn't like her and has favorites. He asked the audience if he has favorites, to which no one raised their hand. He explained that he has no favorites and stopped thinking in such categories a long time ago. The actor has many offended people in the theater, as everyone dreams of being first, and if you've done something, they might slander you.

The actor concluded that he will no longer conduct individual classes with female students.

The police opened a criminal case. Meanwhile, Andrii Bilois returned to work at the theater.
