Koval has decided on a new club in the NCAA.


Ukrainian basketball player Kateryna Koval has announced that she will play for the University of Louisiana team in the upcoming NCAA season. This information was provided by the FBU.
The university's team became the NCAA champion in 2023. This season, they finished in second place in the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and reached the Elite Eight of NCAA March Madness.
In her first season in the NCAA for the 'Notre Dame' team, Kateryna Koval played in 32 matches, where she averaged 5.3 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.3 assists, and 1.7 blocks in 18.3 minutes on the court.
In the upcoming season, another Ukrainian, Daria Biryuk, will play for the 'Ohio State' team.
Recently, fans of the Lithuanian basketball club 'Zalgiris' staged a pro-Ukrainian performance at a Euroleague match against the Serbian 'Partizan.'
The match ended with a victory for 'Zalgiris' - 70:66. However, the game was remembered not only for the sports achievements but also for the events that took place off the court.
Fans of 'Zalgiris' organized a pro-Ukrainian performance with Ukrainian flags, singing a song about dictator Putin and using modules in Ukrainian and Lithuanian colors.

It is worth noting that earlier fans of the Serbian 'Crvena Zvezda' had staged a pro-Russian performance, during which they sang the song 'Katyusha' and displayed the Russian flag. There were also fans in the arena with the 'DNR' flag.
