Contracts in the Defense Forces: the Ministry of Defense told how Ukrainians aged 18-24 can pass the Military Medical Commission.

Volunteers must pass a military medical commission (VLC), and they have priority in the queue for examination. This was reported by 'Glavkom' with reference to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.

The Ministry of Defense explained the details of the medical examination procedure for young people who want to join the Armed Forces.

How to obtain a referral:

• in electronic form using the Unified State Register of Conscripts, Military Obligated Persons (Oberih Register);
• in paper form.

To obtain a referral in electronic form through the Oberih Register, the candidate must personally submit a request through the mobile application - the electronic cabinet of the conscript, military obligated person, reservist (Reserv+). When creating the request, the candidate can choose the desired location for the medical examination - at the location of the selected military unit, recruitment center, or at their place of military accounting. In the Oberih Register, if the candidate meets the age criteria, an electronic referral is automatically created and sent to them in the Reserv+ application.

If the candidate cannot or does not wish to submit a request through Reserv+, a referral can be issued in paper form. This can be done by the commander of the military unit or the head of the recruitment center of the Armed Forces where the candidate interviews take place, immediately after it ends. The paper referral indicates the name of the nearest VLC that will conduct the medical examination of candidates from the respective military unit, and the date of the medical examination.

Medical examination procedure

The official who supervises the medical examinations of candidates collaborates with the administration of the healthcare institution, based on which the designated VLC is located, to ensure that there is reserve Time available in the queue for passing the medical examination and to ensure that candidates are provided with priority. During the medical examinations, it is recommended to ensure the presence of representatives from the respective military unit and/or TCK and SP so they can supervise the process and assist the candidates.

Psychiatric examination

In addition to passing the VLC medical examination, candidates must obtain a certificate of passage of a psychiatric examination, including regarding the use of psychoactive substances.

Candidates, with their consent, are sent to designated healthcare institutions as soon as possible to obtain a certificate of passing the psychiatric examination.

It should be noted that the Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law No. 12093 in general, which provides a 50% discount for voluntary payment of fines by TCK.

As is known, the failure to provide personal data is an administrative offense, for which an administrative sanction is provided - a fine - in the amount of 17 to 25.5 thousand UAH.

Now Ukrainians can pay fines for violations of military accounting online without the need to visit TCK. In the 'Reserv+' application, they can update their data with just a few clicks, paying a fine of 50% of the minimum amount established by the relevant article of the Code of Administrative Offenses (8.5 thousand UAH).
