Canada expands financial support to Ukraine by additional $300 million.


Ukraine will receive a $400 million loan from Canada, as reported by the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine. This loan will be used for designated expenditures from the State Budget of Ukraine and will be received through the Administrative Account of the International Monetary Fund.
The agreement involves a repayment term of 10 years with an annual interest rate of 1.5%. The grace period will be 4.5 years from the receipt of funds. The total amount of direct budget support from Canada to Ukraine has already exceeded $5 billion.
The Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Serhiy Marchenko, expressed gratitude to Canada for their solidarity and support. Canada is a strategic partner and one of the leaders in providing assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the military conflict.
In addition to financial assistance, Canada also provides military support to Ukraine, allowing the use of their weapons on the territory of Russia.
