Canada is ready to guarantee Ukraine's security after the war.

Canada offers to guarantee Ukraine's security after the war, said Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly during a virtual briefing from Brussels.
According to Joly, Canada supports the inclusion of Ukraine in negotiations to end the military conflict, especially after Washington recognized the possibility of losing some parts of Ukrainian territory and the lack of prospects for NATO membership.
The Canadian Foreign Minister emphasized that the conflict cannot end under conditions that would allow Russia to continue destabilizing Europe. 'We want to participate in negotiations for security guarantees,' Joly emphasized.
This statement was made during Joly's visits to France, Germany, and Belgium, where she highlighted the protection of Canadian jobs and strengthening the country's defense due to threats from the United States regarding tariffs and the cessation of military cooperation.
Joly's next stop is South Africa, where she plans to meet with the foreign ministers of the G20 countries. There, she aims to establish how Canada’s position as G7 chair can reflect the priorities of the larger G20 group.
It is worth noting that the EU plans to allocate 6 billion euros in military assistance to Ukraine: what is included in the list.
