Kalinina failed to reach the finals of the WTA 500 tournament in Brisbane.


Ukrainian tennis player Anhelina Kalinina ended her participation in the hard court tournament WTA 500 in Brisbane, Australia.
In the semifinals, the Ukrainian lost to Polina Kudermetova, who started from qualifying. The match ended with Kudermetova's victory in two sets, 4:6, 3:6.

This was the first meeting between the opponents. After the first set, Kudermetova requested medical assistance due to problems with her right arm.
Anhelina has played her sixth semifinal at the WTA level, but suffered her fourth defeat.
Kudermetova reached the finals of a tournament for the first Time in her career. In the decisive match, she will face the winner of the match Aryna Sabalenka — Mira Andreeva.
Kalinina managed to secure four victories in Brisbane. She defeated Wang Yafan, Diana Schneider, Yuan Yue, and Kimberley Birrell.
